WB 3-5: Yo what's good

 WB 3-5: Yo what's good

Summary

Hi-Hi again, I almost forgot to do my blog, lels. Well I did because I uh, am late to this blog. Anyways, this week has been pretty okay so far. Period three worked music, and I got to do the retake test for math. I was way more confident in the retake after looking over the answers from the first one. My odd periods were okay since we had a sub for Mrs. Scarborough's class, and she was pretty chill. All we did that class was work on the critical read and finish our one pager. Leadership has been okay as well. We worked on the yearbook again, and taking staff pictures is so hard because some don't even want to take pictures. . . Mrs. Chen's class has been okay as well so far. Although I uh, got a low score on the first math test, I for sure know what to do and how to do the retake since we went over the answers and how to solve certain questions. My even periods have been great as well. Science was okay, but it would be better if my class wasn't so loud. I know I keep complaining but like come on, it's crazy everyday broski. We had quite a lot of assignments but other than that, yea it's been easy. Social Studies is also easy. We basically worked on making Instagram posts, taking notes, and reading which to be frank, I don't mind doing. I like Mrs. Miya because shes so chill, and lets me eat in her class. I wish my class could calm down though and they wouldn't act like wild animals but it is what it is. We worked on the PBL again, which was to just take a bunch of notes the entire class. It was simple since she had the notes on the TV screen and all we had to do was copy them down on the packet that was handed to us by her. With that aside, I'm still working on getting my outfit ready for Lydia since she's gothic and I don't have much, like, gothic-y clothing for drama and we have been doing lots of rehearsals. It's going well so far despite having a few mistakes here and there, but other than that we can still improve and fix the mistakes. I hope we have a good production in the end.

Highlights + Lowlights

Highlights

The Math Redemption - I felt way more confident during my math retake this week. After looking over the mistakes from my first attempt and figuring out exactly how to solve the problems, I went in actually knowing what I was doing.

Social Studies Vibes - Mrs. Miya’s class is definitely a win because she is so chill and lets me eat while I work. Making Instagram posts for class and getting through my notes while snacking makes the PBL work feel much easier.

Drama Progress - Even though I’m still figuring out the costume, our rehearsals are going well. We’ve had a few mistakes, but we’re improving every day, and I’m feeling good about the final production.

Lowlights

The Science Zoo - It is honestly so hard to focus in Science because my classmates are constantly acting like wild animals. I know I mention it a lot, but the noise level is just crazy every single day.

Yearbook Photography Struggles - Working on the yearbook in Leadership is getting tough because taking staff pictures is a huge challenge. It’s frustrating trying to do my job when people don’t even want to participate or have their photos taken.

The Gothic Wardrobe Gap - I’m feeling the pressure of getting my Lydia outfit ready for Drama. Since she’s gothic and I don't really own much clothing in that style, it’s been a struggle to piece together a look that works for the character.

Lessons Learned

Learning from Failure - I learned that failing the first time isn't the end of the world as long as I use it as a study guide. By reviewing my old mistakes before the retake, I turned a low score into a boost of confidence.

Patience with People - I realized that working on the yearbook requires a lot of patience, especially when people are being difficult. I have to stay focused on the end goal even when others aren't making it easy to get their photos done.

Environmental Resilience - I’m learning how to keep my head down and get my work done even when my environment is loud and chaotic. Even if my classmates are acting like wild animals, I can still find a way to finish my assignments and keep my grades up.

Adaptability in Character - I’ve learned that being in a production like Beetlejuice means I have to be creative with what I have. Even if I don’t own a bunch of gothic clothes, I can still focus on my performance and keep improving my acting through every rehearsal.
