WB 2-8📍: Tired

WB 2-8📍: Tired

Summary

Hi guys, eighth blog this week, and it's been a tiring one. First of all, Peep Div was due this week as I said last week (if I remember) and. . . I ended up having to finish not only my spreads, but two other ones. I didn't think that I would have to stay after school until 5PM for three days just to do THEIR pages but whatever. At least it got finished. The jobs my period worked this week were ID's which was pretty easy, and boring at the same time. We started our math diagnostic and I must say, I am not confident that I am staying in Pre algebra. We need a score of 531 or above to stay and I don't think I'm getting that because I didn't finish yet, lels. In art, we had a sub for two days and honestly, she was alright but obviously had favorites. All we did was simple art activities then have free time after. In period three, all we worked on was Yearbook and our section was Staff so we had to take pics of them teaching. Not all teachers answered their door but whatever. We also took our reading diagnostic (didn't finish that either) and this time, I am way more confident that I am getting a good score than in math. I love ELA, so it's easy. Science has been alright, but the two people I am sitting by STILL look at my answers and ask me stupidly obvious questions, so not that great. Social Studies is fine, we are almost finished with our NHD project and I'm liking how our exhibit board is looking. One of my group members was a bit sick during those classes, but I'm proud that they powered through and did their best. Most of the time, I was out taking pictures for Yearbook, or on the computers in A101 editing and putting photos into the yearbook. A downside was me having to constantly tell people what they should be doing whether that would be taking pics and editing them for Yearbook, or in class when people didn't follow directions. Some fun things that happened this week ws talent show. There was one on Thursday and one on Friday. I didn't see Friday's performance, but on Thursday there were a few dancers, a singer, and the cheer team showed their moves. In drama, we infact, did not get our roles yet. They are still trying to figure out who is which role, which is pretty bunz but overall, this week had been both fun and a tad bit stressful.

Highlights + Lowlights

Highlights

Yearbook Section Completion and Photography - I finally completed the Peep Div section for the Yearbook. I spent a lot of time out taking pictures of teachers and editing photos, and I'm really proud of how the section came together. Getting the photos into the yearbook felt like a big win.

Reading Diagnostic Confidence - I took the reading diagnostic this week, and even though I didn't finish, I feel much more confident about getting a high score compared to my math test. Since I love ELA, the test felt easy, which is a great feeling.

Enjoyable Talent Show - I got to see the Thursday talent show. It was fun watching the performers, including some dancers, a singer, and the cheer team. It was a nice break and a fun end to a busy school day.

Lowlights

Unexpected Yearbook Overload - Finishing the Peep Div section was a huge drain. I had to stay after school until 5 PM for three days because I ended up finishing not only my spreads but also two other people's pages. It was exhausting having to do their work on top of mine.

Stressful Management and Direction - A major downside was having to constantly tell other people what they needed to be doing. Whether it was giving directions for Yearbook tasks like taking or editing photos, or just making sure people followed instructions in class, I felt like I spent too much energy managing others.

Math Diagnostic Anxiety and Classroom Distractions - I'm not feeling confident about my math diagnostic; I need a 531 to stay in Pre-algebra and I don't think I'll hit it since I didn't finish. Plus, in Science, the two people sitting near me are still looking at my answers and asking me "stupidly obvious questions," which makes the class frustrating.

Lessons Learned

Yearbook Section Completion and Photography - I learned that even when I have to take on extra work, getting a major section like "Staff" finished and seeing my efforts in photography and editing come together is incredibly rewarding. It showed me my hard work pays off and gives me a huge sense of accomplishment.

Reading Diagnostic Confidence - My love for ELA really gives me an edge, and this week taught me that the subjects I'm passionate about make standardized tests feel much less intimidating. It's a reminder to lean into my strengths because they can carry me through the stressful moments.

Enjoyable Talent Show - I realized the importance of taking short breaks to enjoy the fun events happening around school. Watching the talent show on Thursday was a great way to de-stress and remember that school isn't just about deadlines and diagnostics.

Unexpected Yearbook Overload - I learned that while being helpful is good, I need to find better ways to set boundaries or ask for assistance when other people's responsibilities fall onto me. Staying until 5 PM for three days to complete other people's work taught me a tough lesson about managing my own time and energy.

Stressful Management and Direction - I discovered how much mental energy is wasted when I have to constantly manage and guide my peers. I need to find a way to communicate expectations more clearly and perhaps step back slightly, letting others face the natural consequences of not following directions.

Math Diagnostic Anxiety and Classroom Distractions - I realized that my anxiety over the math diagnostic is probably being amplified by the distractions in my Science class. This week taught me that frustrating peer behavior and test pressure can be a terrible combination, and I need to try and tune out those distracting people to focus better on my own performance.

Magic Notes

I chose this specific magic note to include in my blog because it tells me how much I am appreciated. It expresses the writer's enjoyment in seeing me in their three classes listed, and how they think of me. They even said that I am an amazing minesweeper player (YAYYYYYYYYY) and thanked me for teaching them. In the three classes, I usually like to yap in their ear about random things lel, and they usually see the random things I do in those classes. I am very happy that they still like me.
