WB 2-7🌶️: Three day wonder

 WB 2-7🌶️: Three day wonder

Summary

Yo yo yo!! What's up Blogspot spot spot spot spooooooooooooot. This week was pretty short considering that the only school days were Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, but nonetheless still pretty eventful (also, no magic notes). Two events we had helped to make happen was Turkey Trot and Team pictures: for Turkey Trot, Leadership's job was to go to whatever specific spot they needed to go to around campus (behind A building) and help guide the students where to go as they go around the buildings. Pretty boring since all we did was stand in our spots while the sun was assaulting us, but it was bearable. I got to eat my home lunch in ELA since I told Ms. Miya I didn't get to eat lunch and she only let me eat in class, heh. For team pictures, we had to gather whatever team came into a box while we stepped out of frame (except whoever was also in that team) and allowed them to take their pictures. It was a bit of a hassle when some students were a bit fussy, but nonetheless easy. (I didn't take pictures of these events because I was too invested and locked in to take out my phone). Me and my Leadership period worked TV this week and heh, I didn't become a broadcaster this week. I barely did anything except for observing box, but I ain't complaining. For yearbook, I emailed the staff for team 7-1 and they scheduled to take pictures on December 2nd, so we'll see how that goes (please please please don't be a disaster. . .). I am this close to losing my sanity because from what I've been observing, the people who are working Peep Div with me aren't putting photos on Yearbook so I am getting WORRIED. Anyways, time to talk about my periods and what other things I've been doing. Starting off with my even periods, ELA hasn't changed because all we've been doing was finishing our argumentative essay to which I already finished (off topic but I learned how to play minesweeper and have been obsessed ever since); Science has been surprisingly good and my desk mates aren't as annoying this week and I hope it'll stay like that. We had some sort of lock-down drill which was chaos though; I've been working on my group and I's exhibit board and safe to say. . . I am carrying the group. I've painted the cover, and the first to print out my work to paste inside. My odd periods were also great; we have just gotten our first IXL homework for math, so yikes; I finished my clay sculpture for art and also finished painting it and the final product looks decent; it's nice hanging out with my period 3 and things have been slightly chill. In drama club, we finished auditions and we are getting our roles next week Thursday. . . crossing my fingers for anyone except Otho. I don't know why I despise Otho but the name irritates me.

Highlight + Lowlight

Highlights

Finished my essay and found a new obsession - I successfully finished my argumentative essay in ELA and, off-topic, I also learned how to play and became obsessed with Minesweeper.

A decent week in Science - Science was surprisingly good this week; my desk mates were not as annoying, and I hope that continues.

Team pictures went smoothly (mostly) - Despite a few fussy students, the team pictures event for Leadership was easy to manage, and we got them done.

Lowlights

Turkey Trot was a sun assault - My job for Turkey Trot was pretty boring because all I did was stand in my assigned spot while the sun was assaulting me.

Carrying my Science group - I am definitely carrying my group for the exhibit board, as I was the first to paint the cover and print out work to paste inside.

Sanity is slipping over Yearbook - I am this close to losing my sanity because I have been observing that the people working Peep Div with me are not putting photos on the Yearbook, which makes me very worried.

Lessons Learned

Leadership Events (Turkey Trot & Team Pictures) - I learned that even when events like Turkey Trot and team pictures seem boring or frustrating due to sun or fussy people, being present and focused on the task means I might miss opportunities to document them, which is why I did not take photos.

Leadership/TV Work - I learned that even when I am not actively doing a high-profile job, like being a broadcaster, observing the process from the box is a valuable, low-key way to contribute, and sometimes doing less is not a complaint.

Yearbook Anxiety - I learned that proactive communication, like emailing Team 7-1 to schedule a photo shoot, is crucial, but I also need to find a way to manage my anxiety and collaborate with my Peep Div team to ensure photos actually get uploaded.

Even Periods (ELA & Science) - I learned that finishing my major assignments like the argumentative essay gives me mental space for new, fun distractions like Minesweeper, and also that temporary peace in a class, even after chaos like a lockdown drill, should be appreciated.

Science Group Project - I learned that relying on myself is sometimes the only way to ensure quality work gets done for a group project, as I clearly took the initiative to paint the cover and print the content for our exhibit board.

Odd Periods (Math, Art, Period 3) - I learned that new challenges, like the first IXL homework in Math, are coming, but the satisfaction of completing a hands-on project, like my decent-looking finished and painted clay sculpture, is a great payoff.

Drama Club - I learned that the audition process is done, and now the anxious waiting game for roles has begun, but regardless of what I get, I already know which role I definitely don't want— Otho.
